Heavenly Realm of Cheerleaders

Not so fun fact: I quit sports to be a cheerleader my freshman year of high school. It's a not so fun fact because it's a big regret that I still live with to this day. I had played softball, volleyball, basketball, and ran track since about 4th grade. My family is very athletic and extremely competitive; however, once my hormones started to kick in and I had boys on the brain - well, actually, just one boy in particular - I was convinced by another classmate to cheerlead because it would get us more attention. I still feel so ridiculous typing that to this day because I don't even like attention! I run from it, if possible! But my brain clearly was not focused, and I quit volleyball - my favorite sport. And guess what.
I DIDN'T EVEN TRY OUT FOR CHEERLEADING.
But you can't change the past, so moving on to what I've learned about cheerleading; we have a "cloud of witnesses" (Hebrews 12:1) in Heaven, including God and the angels, that are cheering for us to persevere through the challenges of everyday life. When God shakes life up a little bit (and He will!), not only do we have the security in Him that He will care for us (Jeremiah 29:11) but we also have cheerleaders above rooting for us to just keep swimmin' just keep swimmin'
